First Seattle Modern Quilt Guild Sew-in

Last Friday, May 25, I went to my first Seattle Modern Quilt Guild meeting/sew-in! I had so much fun and everyone was nice, welcoming and encouraging.

I was able to do a little show and tell with my first quilt (still in progress), true up the blocks for my second quilt, and work on the layout. I got a ton of positive feedback that really uplifted my spirits and gave me confidence in my abilities. It was just what I needed and I am so excited to attend tomorrow's sew-in!

  1. Allison, I am DYING to see your quilt! The sneak peeks are so cute I can't take it anymore! So glad you got great feedback from the other quilters, it's always nice to have your peers validate your efforts. Looking forward to a post about the finished product!!!!!!!!!

  2. Alison, welcome to the wonderful world of quilting. Quilters are great fun and there's so much we learn from each other! I encourage you to keep at it. I've been quilting for longer than I can remember, but still learn something new from my quilty blogger buddies. Come visit me sometime.
